The Stockfish Festival in Iceland has chosen “The Empty Street” as one of only 6 shorts to be screened at the festival.
Stockfish is Iceland’s newest and most exciting international film festival. It was founded by heavy weights in the Icelandic film industry such as Iceland’s only Academy Award Nominated director Friðrik Þór Friðriksson who many consider the father of Icelandic modern cinema.
The Empty Street will screen at NewFilmmakers NY on February 10, 2016. The screening starts at 7:30 PM and is in a block with films from many excellent directors including Bonnie Wright (you may know her as Ginny from the Harry Potter movies). It’s an honor to be a part of this historic screening series which takes place at the Anthology Film Archives on 2nd & 2nd in the East Village.
